Thank you to our Corporate Sponsors!

Old Colony Habitat for Humanity would not be able to complete our home build projects without our wonderful corporate sponsors. Each year, Old Colony Habitat advocates for support and raises funds to reach the $300,000 goal needed to complete its current home-building project. With the support of past and new sponsors, we can accomplish our mission of building affordable housing in our communities.

Meet some of our corporate sponsors and read about their partnership with Old Colony Habitat.

Bristol County Savings Bank

Bristol County Savings Bank, founded in Taunton, MA, has been one of our biggest sponsors for over a decade. Throughout each home build project and fundraising event, Bristol County Savings Bank has pledged thousands of dollars to support the building of affordable housing in our communities. Through their Charitable Foundation, the bank awards over $300,000 to non-profit organizations in the area to support numerous causes each year. Old Colony Habitat for Humanity is honored to be one of those organizations.

“One of our Foundation’s key priorities is housing for the low-to-moderate income population, so we have partnered with Old Colony Habitat for Humanity on several builds throughout the years providing not only financial support but teams of volunteers,” said John Silva, President and CEO of Bristol County Savings Bank.

Taunton Affordable Housing Trust

The Taunton Affordable Housing Trust supports construction projects for affordable housing in Taunton. Their support has been vital in our current home build at 5 Chester Court. Alongside Mayor Shaunna O’Connell, Old Colony Habitat acquired the property at Chester Court and built an affordable home on it. The Taunton Affordable Housing Trust has supported us through numerous sponsor build days, the family lottery, and our first annual Women’s Build Day.

Bluestone Bank

Bluestone Bank has been a long-time supporter of Old Colony Habitat. Over the last few home build projects, Bluestone Bank has rolled up their sleeves and showed up for each family partner, hosting numerous build days for their team to come and work on the houses. Not only do they donate financially, but Bluestone Bank donates their time to support Old Colony Habitat and our family partners. With their support, we continue to bring affordable housing to our communities.

Community Health Systems Foundation

Community Health Systems Foundation has been a great financial sponsor for Old Colony Habitat over the years. Established in 1994, their mission has been to provide grants for non-profit organizations that “enhance the community’s capacity to achieve optimal health, wellness, and quality of life.” With their support each year, Old Colony Habitat can purchase supplies and materials for each home project.

HarborOne Bank

HarborOne Bank has always been a wonderful supporter of Old Colony Habitat by working alongside our construction team for years, HarborOne has put in the work to support affordable housing in our communities. Each year, we welcome their team to our build sites to help the partner family build their future home. Their support has been appreciated each year.

Plainridge Park Casino

Plainridge Park Casino shows up for Old Colony Habitat each year. Not only do they donate their time and funding to our home builds, but they also welcome us to their venue each year to help us host our “Celebration of Philanthropy” event. Their constant support in both our philanthropic mission and housing mission has been crucial over the years. Plainridge Park Casino is a valued sponsor of Old Colony Habitat for Humanity.

Whirlpool

In all our Habitat homes, you will see a Whirlpool appliance in the kitchen. With Habitat for Humanity International, Whirlpool partners alongside affiliates to donate kitchen appliances to every Habitat homeowner. For Old Colony Habitat for Humanity, Whirlpool is a special sponsor. Not only do they donate appliances every year, but their team also comes out to each build site and spends a day building in the future home of our family partners. With their support, our homeowners get to have beautiful homes through Whirlpool’s hard work in the construction process and their generous donations of brand-new appliances.

Jordan’s Furniture

Jordan’s Furniture is a new sponsor to Old Colony Habitat. Through the Jordan’s Furniture Charitable Foundation, their team works to help children and families in need. Their partnership with Old Colony Habitat this year is deeply appreciated as we support the Lopes family in Taunton. “We are typically furnishing homes, but we are excited to be help with building a home,” Michael Tatelman, Co-CEO of Jordan’s Furniture, said during the J-Team’s build day in November.

Webster Bank

Webster Bank has been supporting Old Colony Habitat for Humanity for years through their time, donations, and financial expertise. Webster Bank supports each of our home builds on the front and back end of the process. When building begins, Webster Bank is one of the first sponsors to be on the build site supporting the construction efforts. When a family partner is selected, Webster Bank supports them by walking our families through each step of the mortgage process. Old Colony Habitat would not be able to do this without Webster Bank.

Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric has been a light for Old Colony Habitat over the years. Each year, the Schneider Electric team supports our home build projects and donates their time to support our family partner. Recently, they donated supplies and materials and brought them to the build site. Their support is vital each year, and we are grateful to connect with them in every home built.
