This is a sad time for the entire Old Colony Habitat for Humanity family. We are mourning the loss of a dear friend and former Executive Director, Manny Cunard. He left this world holding the hand of his beloved wife Donna and listening to her words of love. He was calm and in relative comfort when he passed, and is resting in peace now.
Manny made numerous significant contributions to our affiliate. He was our first full time Executive Director, he helped launch our “A Brush With Kindness” program which has helped numerous families in our affiliate area, he was instrumental in completing our most recent build in Attleboro, he was the driving force behind our opening the ReStore in Attleboro, and Manny was one of the key architects in building our affiliate into what it is today.
Manny was also a significant contributor to the Mansfield Rotary Club. He was a champion of the local community helping many individuals in need and going way beyond the call of duty in both his professional roles and in his personal life.
Enough cannot be said about the wonderful people working at hospice who helped Manny in his final days. Services will be held in Warren and Bristol, Rhode Island in mid-late April. Further information will follow as plans are finalized. Manny will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Manny’s wife Donna and his entire family.
